LIFE IS PANDEMONIUM
Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor. Along with 4 audience members who also compete, an eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six (plus four!) spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box?

Callback auditions will be
Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 5:30 PM
in the Kayhi Band Room.
Please peruse the below linked audition sides and become familiar with the characters and the language. Also, if you can, please listen to the soundtrack, as it is very helpful to have at least listened to the music. The song we will be working on is The First Goodbye (on the cast recording), and the music is also linked below.
You should also be prepared to do some improv as well, as there is quite a bit of it in this show!
We look forward to seeing you all Sunday evening!
